General Information
We offer a variety of lessons and have access to state of the art programs. College recruiting- We have a person (Steve Drewery) committed to helping the students in their college recruiting. Mike Corsaut will lend his skills as a counselor in anyway he can. Steve and Mike are already working on a plan for our younger students. Motion Capture Technology- We offer a free video analysis to the student during their lesson. We have a two cameras mounted in our favorite positions, we have TV monitors staged for easy viewing, our computer is set-up in a way that the student, parent(s) and instructor can view, analyze and discuss what to work on and get back on the pitching mounds within minutes of being videotaped. We are using two motion capture programs and looking at a third that will allow students to have their own locker to view their pitching videos online. Private and group lessons days: Group lessons are offered Monday- Thursday. Our lesson start times are on our online scheduling calendar. Click on group,camps and clinics. Private Lessons are offered- Sunday thru Friday's at this time. We are closed on Saturdays until mid November. Our lesson start times are on our scheduling calendar. You can click on Jimmy Dyson, for private lessons-the calendar will show available times. Motion Capture DVD- This one of a kind program was offered last year. I offered it three times. Sign ups filled up fast. Our new lesson scheduler will have our DVD information on days, times, rates and different videos being offered in that particular day. If you are wondering what this DVD is... check out JD motion capture link on the left hand column. I will have a few pictures and a short video. I will have testimonials from my students and parents. College recruiting video- I have videotaped my students college tape since 1992. I offer this for free. It is simple, quick and it works! Steve Drewery will offer a very affordable skills video at Rainbow fields. Steve will video all other aspects of a skills video-hitting, fielding etc. Rainbow has offered it's diamonds when available. Steve makes a great DVD. We are proud to say we are one of the few pitching coaches that can and have started a student at 8-9-10 years old and still coach them in college! Click on the clips to the right. I will be updating the clips so everyone can see what a Danielle de la Porte, Omaira Estremaria, Megan Gross, Veronica Giddens, Amy Cucinella or a Marissa Drewery looked like at 8,9,10 and then in high school or college. The improvement is unreal!
We are located at Rainbow Fields. We have 3 dirt mounds inside the Academy and 4 dirt mounds in the back. We have 2 cameras permanently located in specific angles with a computer station and 2 TV monitors located in a way that the ball flight can be watched from the catchers view and a monitor of the side view to keep an eye on the students pitching motion. This gives everyone a good view on what is happening during the lesson! Students need to bring their cleats, glove and a good softball.... be ready to learn and have fun at the same time!
