Internet Scheduler- convience and flexibility that the book does not have! We have used the internet scheduler since 2001!
2010 lesson scheduler rules and rates We offer two types of lessons at this time Private Lessons- 30.00 for a half hour- recommended for new students, students learning new pitches, students wanting one on one focusing on a particular movement. Motion video analysis is free!
Group Lessons- 15.00 for an hour - typically last an 1hr and 15 minutes. We offer group lesson for various reason. Flexibility- The student almost always can find time to work-out in a structured environment. Competition- It is not uncommon to see a group of the elite high school pitchers sharing the mounds. The young students really have fun pitching with the older ones. Parents view- The parents watch the ball flight on our TV monitors or beside the catcher- They really see a rise ball- Not just what someone says a rise ball looks like. Example- students may never see a real moving pitch during their private lesson unless they have an advanced pitcher having a lesson before or after their lesson. I have heard negative remarks at how we run the group lessons- Mike "Otto" Thill tells people that ask him this question "Go out there and watch it is amazing"! This is what I say to the negative remarks: 1) ask my parents what they think. 2) If it did not work for us I would not have anyone signing up. 3) The success is obvious! Motion video analysis is free!
We require 48 hour-notice for a lesson cancellation. If the lesson is not canceled in time payment is due at the next lesson. No-Show- The Student owes at the next lesson. We allow a one time waiver on a No-Show . Two no-shows without a phone call or a payment is an automatic cancel of all lessons and removed from our register. Blocking out- is when a student signs-up for multiple lessons, cancels before the 48 hour deadline. The students continuous this to cancel until they are ready to come in. If we see this happening we will cancel all the students lessons on the calendar and remove their access from the register.
Attn: Group Lessons Issues: Group lessons are an hour to hour 15 minutes. You will receive a confirmation saying the lesson is 30 minutes. This is because Smarter Lessons (our calendar provider) has not encountered overlapping group lessons, they are working on this. I have students and parents asking the question "how do you know if the lesson is available"? The lesson scheduler keeps track of how many students are allowed in each start time. If we are full at a certain start time it will tell you sorry, this lesson is full when you run the mouse over the text. You can look for a different time or check back to see if their is a cancellation. I will try to keep up to date questions as they come up on this new scheduler.
